Writing is on the wall

‘The Writing is on the wall’ - Disaster or downfall is imminent

Have you noticed that graffiti sprayed on those walls that you pass on the way to work, along the road and rail tracks? Have you noticed the writing on the whilst waiting for a bus or train?

You know that the writing is there, and maybe you have even read it once or more as it has passed within your field of vision. Now though even though it still passes in front of you, you no longer take in the message.

And just as with that graffiti passes out of consciousness, the writing that is on your life’s walls can just so easily pass out you consciousness. The warning that tells you that you need to do something, to take some action and to prepare for what is to come goes ignored.

So what writing on what walls have you been walking past and ignoring?

Noticing that writing again, there in front of you:-

1.    What do you see, hear a feel is coming?

2.    What actions can you do to put yourself in a stronger position?

3.    What preparation do you need to put in place for what is ahead?

Words will not kill you

“Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will not kill me”

That’s a mantra that many of us were encouraged to say as children to tell bullies that their words would not hurt us.

Words do have a powerful impact on what we do and do not do irrespective of age. And the words we use in the conversations we have with ourselves in our heads effect the actions and decisions that we take. These words can either motivate us to do something or stop us from taking action. Understanding which parts of us these words are coming from and what they want for us is another matter.

Are your words being helpful or are they hindering you at the moment!

If they are hindering you, what do each of those parts of you driving those words want for you? And what motivating words could you use that honour the needs and wants of that part?
